Who We Are

Our reasons for becoming financial professionals are deeply personal. We repeatedly saw many friends and family struggling to find the help they needed to map out their financial future. We are confident that with our understanding of personal finance, coupled with our training as financial professionals, we can help people better prepare for the future. After years in the business, we have developed a reputation for educating individuals in an easy-to-understand manner so they can grasp personal finance and use those concepts to pursue their financial objectives. Meet Our Team

Jeff Jones



Jeff joined the Financial Services and Insurance industry in 2003 after a career spanning more than 25 years in the non-profit sector. Upon graduating North Park University (Chicago) Jeff began his non-profit career with the YMCA (Chicago), moving to Minnesota in 1986 to lead a young ministry based in the Twin Cities doing Community Development and Discipleship in East Africa. In 2000 he completed his Masters at Bethel University in Organizational Leadership while serving as CFO and Project Director for another ministry, World Servants, based in Richfield MN. Throughout his non-profit career he established works in East Africa, the Caribbean, Mexico, and among various Native American peoples. His life journey and educational pursuits have combined to hone his passions, skills, and commitment to serving people first!

Jeff Away From the Office

Jeff is married and resides in Saint Paul, Minnesota. Jeff remarried on Feb 3, 2017 to Marcia Smith Jones after being widowed in 2014. In addition to serving as Manager Client Services for Jeff Jones, Inc., Marci is a professionally trained chef with her own business as a personal in-home chef. You may learn more at MPossiblyGood.

Jeff is blessed with one son, Kai (Erin) and is enjoying his role as grandfather to Soren and Cecelia. Jeff was also guardian to three Taiwanese siblings; Jilly Lai, Jimmy (Shui) Lai their son and daughter, Weihan and Wen Hsaun, and Jenny (Erland) Lai-Unruh and their son Karl-Axel.

Jeff pursues volunteer opportunities at his church, serves on two non-profit boards and enjoys many recreational activities. In their free time, Jeff and Marci enjoy cooking and exploring foods and various preparations as well as gardening, and travels near and far.

Judy Kruse

Judy has worked for Jeff Jones, Inc, for over 10 years; initially in a support role. She currently provides bookkeeping and payroll services.

Judy has been married to Doug for almost 40 years. They love spending time with their children and grandchildren at the lake and Judy spends her time in the fall and winter making stained glass panels.

Marci Smith Jones



Marci Smith Jones joined Jeff Jones, Inc. as Manager of Client Services in 2017. She is devoted to providing the level of service clients have come to expect and appreciate.

Marci launched her own business as a personal chef in 2014 after refining her skills in a chef-owned restaurant as well as an institutional kitchen. She trained in Ireland at Ballymaloe Cookery School, receiving certifications in both cooking and wine; both highly commended.

In addition to her talents as a trained chef, Marci has decades of experience in customer service. Most recently she devoted almost 20 years in non-profit member services as Senior Executive Assistant. In that capacity, she worked directly with volunteer leaders developing project management resources, enhancing strategic planning and member engagement, and most effectively in planning and facilitating meetings, retreats, and workshops.

She is active in her church and community, enjoys (in addition to cooking and eating and talking about food) reading, dancing, walking, hiking and movies.
